4 Poems

These poemes are part of my poem challenge. I’m looking to explore as many emotion words as I can in poetry over the next few years. Feel free to join the challenge.

Poem 1:
Disgust

Disgusting…
rotting cheese
smells so gross.

The sight of
Dead animals
Looks so bad.

Nothing worse
Than when you
Don’t shower.

2nd poem:
Anger

Resentfully, he boxes…hard,
His eyes are full of pain.
How could she go?
Who hurt her so?
His eyes are full of pain.

While true injustice seems to gain,
And annoyance still grows..
He is still hurt,
Emotions spurt,
And annoyance still grows.
Healing is still so very slow.

Dark, hateful, resentment,
Fills him with deep, dark rage.
Like ashes charred,
Darkened and scarred,
Fills him with deep, dark rage.
His heart feels hard… fails to grow.
Sometimes the grief and deep distress,
Fill him up with tears and sadness.

Hot tempered…he’s so vexed.
Feeling jarred,
Like broken shards,
Hot tempered…he’s so vexed.

Poem 3:
Anticipation
How I long for you, my sweet love,
Your eyes are deep pools of wonder.
My hand fits in yours like a glove.
How I long for you, my sweet love,
Your voice is from heaven above.
My heart is full of you… lover.
How I long for you, my sweet love,
Your eyes are deep pools of wonder.

Poem 4:
Acceptance
One
Glance,
A hug,
A kind word,
I am known by you,
And I am accepted by you.
